Our Curriculum
ARTime curriculum is designed to help the students to learn and practice techniques that will help them to understand the different mediums. We have designed a fast-forward method of content deliverance to keep them interested and to have fun.
What to expect.
Class one.
Students will start for 3 minutes to do a freestyle drawing (This will help the instructor to understand their ideas and how much technique they know). They will then start a formal class learning from two projects, Shapes&Shadows and the use of pencil shading grades.
Class two.
Students will learn from the color wheel, Primary and Secondary Colors Instructor will make sure to keep reminding the kids throughout the class (kids learn from repetition skills). They will then start with their first Acrylic painting mixing their color combos in their palette, and adding details to finalize their project.
Class Three.
Students will have fun with Watercolors, our project will be based on: Brushing techniques (how to use their brush when making their strokes). The use of Water is a very important learning experience because water is a highlight in watercolors, we tell our students to be friendly with the water supply to achieve control over it.
Class Four.
Students will be learning a very unique technique that is chalk pastels. They will do a project using soft chalk painting within different sizes of circles. Black paper will be used to help the bright colors of the chalk be more bright. They will end up with a Solar System themed artwork and also very messy hands!
Once the first four courses are complete…
After being exposed to the basics, the students will join our ongoing student curriculum. We always start every month with ceramics because the extended process from the start to the end project takes 3 weeks. This way the students will be able to bring it home by end of each month, all of our curricula are very extensive and fun to learn.
Overall our teaching and method are based on techniques and practices in all of our artwork projects, this helps the student to continue remembering and putting into practice during each class.
